Con Clara Verazzo

Agorà Section Event curated by Clara Verazzo

On the occasion of the 2025 edition of the FLA – Festival of Books and Other Things, celebrating its 23rd anniversary, the presentation meetings for the volume “Giovani Vaccarini Architetti_Architetture Adriatiche”, published by Lettera Ventidue, will take place on Thursday, November 6th at the Cascella Museum.

The Agorà Section of the FLA was created as a space for meeting, discussion, and open dialogue on the role of architecture in contemporary society. Agorà, as a symbolic place of collective participation, becomes the point where designers, scholars, students, and citizens can share visions, questions, and perspectives on the future of living.

“Architectures come to life from ideas, not from forms”

Forms are the result of staging ideas.
It is a rigorous process, yet also intimate and ineffable, in which all the ingredients of a project connect with each other, giving life to the body of architecture.
The synapses that hold all the elements together are multiple connections:

cultural, technical, formal, typological, environmental. GVA conceives the project as a kind of complex molecule resulting from this process.
This book collects some isotopes of the work of Giovanni Vaccarini Architetti, with the aim of bringing to light thought trajectories that are often submerged.
These are imperfect isotopes, just as the Adriatic city is imperfect:

an imperfection that, far from being a limitation, reveals a unique creative energy that Vaccarini knows how to recognize and enhance.
