ITALY Pavilion

XIX Venice Architecture Biennale

We are honored to be among the Architectural Firm invited to exhibit in the Italian Pavilion of the 19th international architecture exhibition in Venice.

Our work adds an Adriatic point of view to the architectural debate on the relationship between land and sea.

Italy is made up of land and water in equal measure.

The area of contention between these elements is an inhabited space, it is the field of “\ adriatica”project.

The Adriatic is a shallow sea.

The sea is a collective space in which to walk, to meet, and to  work.

It’s an undefined strip of water/land that is colonized with hybrid devices that do not belong to the nautical world nor to that of the land.

In this intermediate strip between sea and land \adriatica identifies a space to inhabit

A modular system of floats draws a new order in the body of water which from indefinite and infinite space, acquires a measure and defines a certain, defined field.
